Seriously? This Twilight epidemic might prove to be worse than this insane swine-flu pandemic. Honestly, is this mania ever going to stop? By the looks of it, absolutely not. July 30-August 2, 2009 the Sheraton Dallas Hotel will play host to the largest conference in the United States inspired by Stephenie Meyer and the Twilight saga. Tickets are on sale & selling out quickly… Though, I’m not sure how at $255 per person -and any minor must have an adult attend with them, for an addt’l $255- not to mention, room and board is NOT included in this price. Who cares about money though when you can attend the Volturi Masquerade Ball… (Um, was this even in any of the books?) I won’t lie, I too enjoyed the books, but come on, isn’t this getting just a tad out of hand? Of course, if you do drop the cash to attend this event maybe you’ll even meet your own Vampire… or at least one of the actors that plays a Vampire in the movie. It’s said that guest appearances by Kellan Lutz, Mike Welch, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke, Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facille and Christian Serratos will be present. (In Twilight speak that would be Emmet Cullen, Mike Newtown, Alice Cullen, Chief Swan, Jasper Hale, Carlisle Cullen and Angela Weber.) Not to mention some great music is for sure going to be there, bands such as 100 Monkeys, The Bella Cullen Project and many others will be performing. So in this tough economy why wouldn’t you spend $255 on this once in a life time event? …Good question… …. …
