Buildings of Disaster

I was perusing through an obfuscating boutique located in an overpriced and pretentious hotel in Beverly Hills a few days back. Among some of the amazing items for sale were $500 shaving sets, some random limited Air Force One’s, a $35K tall crystal thing that I could not quite understand what it was, Vintage Home Furnishings that were dipped in metal & sold for 350 times their cost and Woolly Mammoth Ivory carved miniature matchbox cars. Well, maybe I started to exxxxxagerate a wee bit towards the end, but it isn’t too far from the truth.

I stumbled across this little jewel of bronzed design awesomeness and had a great laugh. At first it was just another piece of overpriced boutique fodder, but then I actually saw what they were:

The OJ Car Chase

Neverland Ranchneverlandranch

Chernobylchernobyl

Watergate Hotelwatergate

These are designed by Constantin and Laurene Leon Boym. Check their site out here. Their blog is pretty interesting and should be checked out. They should update it a little more often…
