Takashi Murakami became all the rage when the Japanese designer did Kanye West’s Graduation album cover. But fans – especially women who have an inkling towards Louis Vuitton – have known about Murakami since before he adorned cherry blossoms on $2,000 handbags and slapped the LV logo over camouflage.
The enigmatic designer recently partnered with the French luxury brand to create Superflat First Love, an animated piece that blends together his signature superflat design aesthetic and of course, Louis Vuitton.
The video, which features no dialogue but some “interesting” music, celebrates six years of the conglomerate and artist working together.
