Pitchfork doesn’t just give out 9’s. Indie royalty are made and broken on the backs of the queen bee of the music blogosphere’s temperamental and pretentious literate reviews. After catching their live set a couple of weeks ago I’d agree with Pitchfork’s gift of a solid 9 for Girls’ single ‘Lust for Life’. Their songs are smart and catchy, well produced without being overly polished.
