Claude Von Stroke is a San Francisco based producer, DJ, and record label impresario with a penchant for rocking the dance floor (see 2006′s smash ‘Who’s Afraid Of Detroit?’). His new album, ‘Bird Brain’, features a pretty broad range of bangers including ‘Monster Island’. Opening with a fog horn effect that will seriously give you The Fear, this is music that’s based on a stomping minimalism of pure necessity, a finely crafted netherworld of sound where you’re given only what you need to survive the warm and sleazy night.
