Shwood, the Portland label making classic shades frames out of wood, recently launched their Canby Model. The Canby, which debuted in July 2009, is available in Zebrawood, Maple or Wenge -a darker, tropical hardwood [each pictured below.] Also new from the company, the Govy, [pictured above] which features the same trendy, unique look only in a more sleek, discreet frame. The Govy retails for roughly the same amount and comes with the same customizing options as the Canby. Each sustainable, handmade frame features 100% Carl Zeiss Italian lenses and sells for $95, [polarized models go for $115.] Lenses are available in a number of colors including standard black and grey. Limited Edition Wood Frames will also be available numerous times a year, for a very short period of time each. Customized engraving will also soon be available for your Shwood Shades.
