The Knux

You’ve probably never heard them on the radio unless you live in a really big market but the best thing to happen to Hip Hop since Outkast and Kanye are The Knux. Like The Roots, brothers Krispy Kream and Rah Al Milio play their own instruments and produce their own albums, blending influences as diverse as De La Soul and the Strokes. Coming straight out of LA (via New Orleans) the duo released their first full length last year but really only came into the limelight after they received heavy rotation status on last season’s Entourage soundtrack, mainly owing owing to their affinity for witty, intelligent rhymes and what Biggie called Cali’s three W’: the weather, the women and the weed.
