Footwear giant, Nike, is going back to the future. They’ve filed a patent for “automatic lacing sneakers” reminiscent of the kicks that Marty McFly wore in Back to the Future Part II. The patent that was filed in 2009 states that the automatic lacing system would provide a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position with the press of a button near the heel. In the 1989 classic, McFly travels to the year 2015, so Nike isn’t too far off from making the movie a reality if the patent is approved.

The Reebok Pump is so 2000 and late. C’mon, Nike. Just do it.

Came across this super funny video comparing two very not so comparable cameras. I mean the Barbie Video Girl has to be way better in quality than the Canon 7D =] It just has to! Barbie is a master of all trades, and I am glad to see she has now mastered a camera implant in her chest.

Here’s the new trailer for David Fincher directed, The Social Network, starring the man Michael Cera wishes he could be, Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg. Aaron Sorkin wrote the script about the Harvard dropout who created everybody’s favorite myspace killer. The cast also features Rashida Jones and Justin Timberlake in supporting roles in a story about the youngest billionaire in the history. The trailer also features “Power” by Kanye West (which I have provided above for your listening enjoyment). “You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies.”

Notre Jour Viendra- Feature Film Trailer

It was only a matter of time before Romain Gavras made the move from directing videos for DJ Mehdi (Signatune), Justice (Stress), Simian Mobile Disco (I Believe), and M.I.A. (Born Free) to directing a featuring length film. Translated as “Our Day Will Come,” Notre Jour Viendra is Gavras’ first foray into film and stars Vincent Cassel and Olivier Barthelemy, as well as, several of the Gingers from the Born Free video. Cassel starred in one of my favorite films, La haine, but American audiences are probably most familiar with him from Ocean’s 12 and 13. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t come with subtitles, but the cinematography alone is enough to make want to go see this when it’s released on September 15.

Jeff Bridges Faces His Younger Self in the New Trailer for ‘TRON: Legacy’

At the Comic-Con panel this morning, Jeff Bridges said that playing scenes against a twenty-year younger version of himself was “pretty wild and psychedelic.” He went on to joke that the “other Jeff” wasn’t very pleasant to work with: “Man, he was just a jerk, hitting on Olivia, eating all the carbs I couldn’t at craft services, what a diva.” His costar Michael Sheen added that while the movie was filmed in 3D, “[it] is actually in 4D, because Jeff Bridges adds an extra dimension of awesomeness.”
